R. Kevin McGrory, retired Chief Judge of the Trenton Municipal Court, joined the firm in January 2006. Kevin concentrates his practice in environmental law, including insurance litigation, evidence law and mediation. As an authority in the area of evidence law, Kevin authored A Handbook on the Law of Evidence. He has lectured widely on complex evidential issues to lawyers and law students and to judges at the National Judicial College in Nevada, as well as in the state of New Jersey. In addition to being Trenton Municipal Court's Chief Judge for over 20 years, Kevin served as a Municipal Court Judge in Lambertville. From 1986 to 2001, at the appointment of Chief Justice Robert Wilentz, Kevin served as the Presiding Judge of the Mercer County Vicinage. His service during that period also included Middlesex County and Warren County. From 1973 to 1979, he was a trial attorney and Trial Team Coordinator as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office. He served as Supervising Attorney for the Mercer County Narcotics Strike Force and originated the County's IMPACT Repeat Offender Program. Kevin also supervised and was Chief Trial Attorney in the Mercer County's Homicide Investigation and Prosecution Unit. A Trenton native, Kevin holds a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law and a B.A. from Georgetown. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar and the Mercer County Bar Associations.
