SZAFERMAN LAKIND ATTORNEY STUART TUCKER APPOINTED TO ETHICS TASK FORCE

(September 15, 2009) Stuart A. Tucker, a partner in the Lawrenceville law firm of Szaferman Lakind, has been appointed by Governor Corzine to the Governor's Local Government Ethics Task Force. Tucker is one of 11 members of the newly established task force, which is charged with recommending amendments to local government ethics laws, as well as recommending guidelines for ethics training and compliance for local governmental agencies. Governor Corzine characterized the members of the Task Force as "the leading voices" on ethics in the State.

Tucker, a resident of Trenton, practices personal injury litigation, labor law, and business litigation. He is general counsel to Trenton's Kingdom Church and Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He is on the Mercer County Vicinage Committee on Minority Concerns and has volunteered as a mentor for several Trenton youth groups. He has served on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Greater Mercer County, and on the New Jersey State Bar Association District VII Ethics Committee. He has also served as a Trustee of the Mercer County Bar Association and as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Trenton Area Academic and Technology Charter School.
