Szaferman LakindPRESS RELEASE Retired Judge Paul T. Koenig Jr. (May 15, 2008) Szaferman, Lakind, Blumstein, & Blader, P.C., Attorneys at Law, welcomes to its offices recently retired New Jersey Superior Court Judge Paul T. "Pete" Koenig, Jr. Initially, Pete thought of retiring permanently to Florida, but his love of law won out. Pete's career path has been impressive and varied. In addition to his Superior Court Judgeship, which included a stint as Presiding Judge of the Civil Division, Pete served as Mercer County Counsel and as Mercer County Prosecutor. His dedication to each of these offices is well known to both lawyers and litigants. Pete also spent approximately ten years in his own private practice handling a wide variety of matters. He has significant trial experience as a lawyer, prosecutor and Judge. Managing Partner Barry D. Szaferman said that "the firm is fortunate to have available to its lawyers Pete's broad experience in the law, as well as his practical approach to resolving difficult cases prior to trial. This combination of talents will help Pete develop a strong mediation practice." As he began his first full (and long) day at his new office Pete Koenig said, "I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to establish myself in the area of mediation, and look forward to participating in the practice of law with this dynamic and growing law firm. I've had contact over the years with many of the lawyers in the firm, and feel very comfortable in beginning this new stage of my career at Szaferman Lakind. # |
