Szaferman Lakind's corporate finance department has an extensive commercial practice representing financial institutions, private investors, partnerships, corporations, joint ventures and limited liability companies. We are able to address all of your business needs, from formation through all levels of expansion.

Our attorneys have a broad knowledge of government programs designed to assist small businesses. We have significant expertise with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority and the United States Small Business Administration. We also represent clients in qualifying as women and minority owned business enterprises. With a solid understanding of the requirements of these programs, we assist our clients in qualifying for them. To that end, we are often called upon to take an active role in defining objectives, advising on important business matters and providing new ideas and approaches to meet the needs and growth of small businesses.

Szaferman Lakind has years of experience representing banks and other financial institutions. We have served as counsel to banks and investment banks in transactions ranging from residential house closings to the financing of multi-million dollar office, housing, health care, retail and industrial complexes. Our commercial and litigation departments are available to handle loan work-outs or to assist the financial community in restructuring bad loans and avoiding lender liability problems.

We previously have been appointed by the Governor as Bond Counsel for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. We also act as underwriter's counsel, borrower's counsel, and trustee's counsel in a variety of public finance matters.
