Bob Lytle, a partner who has been with the firm since 2003, specializes in complex civil litigation and criminal defense in both state and federal court. His civil practice includes business and commercial litigation of various types, consumer class actions, representing victims of mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases, the prosecution of civil rights claims, the defense of professionals at administrative hearings and environmental litigation. Bob’s criminal practice focuses on the representation of individuals, corporate officers and corporations who are subject to both traditional and white collar prosecutions, as well as defending those charged with DWI .

Bob has extensive trial experience and investigative skills, which were developed during the ten years that he served as a county and state prosecutor. During that time, he presented numerous cases to state and county grand juries and successfully tried many cases, including two homicides, to verdict. As an Assistant Prosecutor with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, Bob was primarily assigned to the Special Investigations Unit, where he was responsible for overseeing the investigation and prosecution of mid and upper level narcotics dealers. Bob also served for many years as a Deputy Attorney General in the Environmental Crimes Bureau of the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice, where he investigated and prosecuted cases involving violations of New Jersey’s racketeering, hazardous waste, solid waste, air pollution and water pollution control laws.

Bob’s litigation philosophy combines the investigative and advocacy techniques he learned as a prosecutor with the highly specific requirements of civil litigation and criminal defense. His approach is result-oriented, depends on focused preparation and simplification of the issues, and culminates with aggressive execution. Among other activities, Bob is the Chairperson for the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Character, a trustee of The Mercer County Bar Association and often speaks on issues involving children with craniofacial syndromes. He is a recent recipient of the Professionalism Award from The Mercer County Bar Association.
