Brian M. Schwartz, Esq. is a Partner at Szaferman Lakind practicing out of Summit, New Jersey.  He is a former Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Section – during his term, he led the drafting and negotiation of the 2014 amendments to the alimony statute.  Mr. Schwartz has been a member of the Family Law Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association since 2002.  In 2017, Mr. Schwartz received the Saul Tischler Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association presented for Lifetime Achievement in the advancement of Family Law.  He is formerly the Executive Editor of the New Jersey Family Lawyer.
