Szaferman Lakind Makes Donation to Rescue Mission

The COVID-19 crisis has created extraordinary challenges for non-profit agencies throughout the Trenton/Princeton area. Particularly hard hit are those organizations that provide services to our neediest population. As such, Szaferman Lakind is continuing its support of such agencies by contributing $5,000 to the Rescue Mission of Trenton. This is the third such donation during this crisis with similar contributions to The Princeton Area Community Foundation and The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK).

Rescue Mission of Trenton provides shelter, food and basic items for those facing homelessness and hardship. They operate an emergency shelter, day center as well as provide other assistance programs including addiction counseling, mental health services, housing and job training and placement services. The COVID-19 pandemic has created new challenges for the organization, including caring for coronavirus patients who otherwise have nowhere else to turn and keeping other individuals safe, who aren’t sick.

“As with The Princeton Area Community Foundation and TASK, the Rescue Mission is providing crucial assistance to our area’s most at-risk population,” observed Barry Szaferman, Managing Partner. “We, as a firm, feel fortunate to be able to contribute to the efforts being made by all of these agencies.”
