Attorney Lindsey Moskowitz Medvin didn’t let a pandemic prevent her from presenting at a Career Day at Marlboro Elementary School in Marlboro, New Jersey. When the schools shut down, the school administration worked hard to be able to turn career day into a virtual event for the students and it was a huge success! Lindsey felt proud to be able to inspire the next generation.
During her presentation, Lindsey walked the children, ages 5 through 12, through a typical day as a family law attorney. She talked to them about the importance of preparing for trial and even took them with her on her drive to the Courthouse so that they could be a part of her routine. Lindsey provided the students with advice for public speaking, sharing with them some pointers she recently used at trial.
Knowing she wanted to be a family lawyer since she was young, Lindsey explained to the students the importance of staying focused and working hard to achieve your goals. She also explained to them the different types of cases she works on including adoptions, name changes, divorce, and child custody among others. She made the students aware that while she is a trial attorney practicing family law, that there are many other areas of the law and she explained different paths that attorneys can take.
Lindsey has been with Szaferman Lakind for 15 years and takes pride in helping her clients to achieve their individual goals. She has a passion for her work and knows the direct impact it makes. During her presentation Lindsey commented “How I do my job today will impact my client’s life forever.”
